This morning our landlord came out to check out the kitchen ceiling damage before they send someone out for repairs. We spent the early hours cleaning to make sure everything was nicer than when we moved in, and it looks like, just maybe, some of the other problems with the condo will get fixed along with the ceiling. I guess 8 months late is better than not at all, hm?
We are very excited for the 4th of July. It's one of my favorite holidays- I love having a KFC picnic, watching fireworks, maybe a water park. Plus when its on a weekend then we get a day off a work!!!
We are on week 2 of our diet and so far it feels a lot better, plus it helps save us money. Now we just need to see whether it will work or not.
Looking forward to the next few days when we will get to see Dutch and her crew up here :-)
Kaje is forcing me to blog. I am not good at blogging. But apparently it is now part of things again. This weekend we celebrated our fake anniversary by spending a night on the coast with a semi-ocean view hotel. It was a nice change from the ghetto for a night. On a personal achievement note, i now own a pair of actual swim trunks for the first time in over 5 years. Back to the weekend. We went out to a local joint that reminded me a lot of Uncle Dudlies if they served fresh sea food. Kaje had been wanted to try crab for awhile, what she apparently didnt realize is that it comes with the legs still around the meat. So i spent the majority of the meal removing the meat for her (it made her a little a sick to even try to crack the leg open) while she sniped food off my sweet clam basket. How you gonna swipe a clam?
Anyway so we went for a walk on the beach later that night. Just happened to be a full moon which was cool. And what was cooler is that as we we're walking I looked behind us and happened to notice a large black shape pop out of the waves. Turns out it was a giant leather back sea turtle. it was cool. Thats about all I have.

It's been awhile for sure! I think Orlando really disenchanted the whole idea of blogging for me, because life seemed so crappy for us it was like, why share the crap?
Anyways, Rob is still working for Trutech. There is a work-at-home possibility for us both, but that won't start until August, or around that time. Poor Rob isn't enjoying our 110 degree days, but I have to say its a nice change to feel like I am actually having a real summer. The last few summers have been cold, and you suddenly find yourself facing winter wondering if you got any sun at all. This time I know I did!
My work was going really well for awhile, and then they cut down my hours due to financial problems. So I am back to work 8 or 10 hours a week, but making about 20 dollars an hour. Every little bit helps, but we are trying to save money in an attempt to rebuild our savings account. This means we have also gone back on a diet (yay!!) which, paired with the summer heat, should shed some pounds for both of us.
Its a little full here, with 2 cats, 5 kittens and a puppy. Kittens are 9 weeks old and just about ready to ship out. I'll miss their cute little faces but thats about it. Dexter is going to get her lifelong dream fulfilled of being an outdoor cat, and I just hope she is smart enough to not get lost or eaten. Oscar is spraying right now (NOT GOOD)! so if his upcoming neutering doesn't fix the problem, Dexter will have an outdoor companion. Batman is, basically, a two year old kid with ADHD. Really cute until 3 seconds go by and he does something naughty. If anyone has any dog training tips, we still don't have a complete handle on the accidents problem. He knows to go outside, he goes when he goes outside, he just thinks that if he isn't outside and he has to go, well then find a good corner and squat. Its frustrating and gross...
I finished my last two classes of the year, and so I have maybe 3 more years until I graduate with an AA in Web Development. Maybe we will make more money and I can take more classes, but at the rate I am going its going to be a slow battle. :-) I like the classes though and I am definitely learning quite a bit.
We had our 1.5 year anniversary Tuesday, its hard to believe its been that long! Our church wedding anniversary is this Sunday. I love having multiple anniversaries! We got a hotel on the ocean for us to spend a night at, and we are both excited to have a mini vacation, even for a few hours. No big plans for July 4th, but Aunt Dutch and her crew are coming up to Orlando so we expect to see them at least once. I of course would love to be at Disney for the fireworks but I don't think Rob would enjoy that quite as much as me :-)
That's all for now. I'll try and be more diligent about posting so my posts are short and fun like Ashley's and not long and drawn out. :-)
On an up note, Rob and I love you all!
