So I just paid for a round trip ticket and hotel stay at Orlando. No, not for vacation. I found two auditions for DisneyWorld (the only ones coming up until October) and since Orlando is the golden land of opportunity at the moment, I thought now might be a good time to squeeze those in before I resign myself to yet another boring adult job. After much searching and researching, I found a round trip and 2 nights at a hotel close to the park with a free shuttle for $237 bucks. (Well, $247 but then I found a coupon that gave me another ten off...) Not bad, not bad.

Its been...lets see, Joseph was back in September...almost a year since I have auditioned for anything, and even longer since I've auditioned for anything professional. Thank God nothing requires singing this time, but I do need to have a short monologue prepared along with a headshot and resume. I need a new headshot.

Auditions suck, especially professional ones. Especially Disney ones. Inside the park, its the happiest place on earth. Just outside to the left, in the rehearsal facility, its the most traumatizing place on earth. Where adults go to cry. And still, I'm ecstatic to do something remotely productive towards my career again. Even though I have more than a glimmer of an idea that I'll be shot down immediately. Whatever. Rejection is just an occupational hazard.

Oh yeah. I leave on Wednesday.
